What is the educational value of Osmo?

Osmo fosters learning in key areas such as creative problem solving, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics), and common core.  We believe in healthy tablet play for kids with a good balance of fun and learning with plenty of physical play away from a screen. Each of games offers unique educational value.

Words

Words teaches spelling and critical thinking skills.

Tangram:

Playing Tangram is a great way to exercise spatial and visual problem-solving skills. Start thinking with shapes!

Newton

Newton fosters creative problem solving skills. Use your creative noggin and inventive objects like a hand-drawn basket, grandma’s glasses, dad’s keys, or anything around you to guide falling on-screen balls into targeted zones.

Masterpiece

Masterpiece teaches drawing and creative confidence. It leverages Osmo to turn your iPad into a drawing tool. With Masterpiece you’ll get the proportion and perspective of your drawing exactly right. The only limit of what you can draw is your imagination!

Numbers

Numbers teaches counting, addition and multiplication. Kids arrange physical tiles, including dots and digits, to make numbers and complete levels. Add by putting more tiles, subtract by removing tiles and multiply by connecting tiles together. Experimenting becomes fast and intuitive.

(Note that Numbers does not include subtraction and multiplication.)

Coding Awbie:

Coding Awbie teaches logic skills and problem solving, and it helps kids succeed in an increasingly digital world. Coding Awbie is the easiest way to introduce coding to your child.

Monster

With Osmo Monster, your drawings become part of magical animated activities. Hone drawing skills and follow the directions of your new friend, Mo!

Pizza Co.

Pizza Co. teaches math, money, fractions, and non-verbal communication. Run your own pizza shop! Quickly cook pizza and calculate change using toppings and money tiles. Invest your profits to upgrade your shop as you bake your way to becoming “the big cheese”!

Coding Jam:

Start with a beat and end with a hit! In this open ended game, your little jammer mixes sounds and shares compositions - all while learning the basics of coding.
